i made some straps for my crutch!

i originally got an open cuff crutch because i was worried about my arm being too big, i wear a lot of bulky sweaters as well so i was worried it wouldnt fit over that as well. i very quickly found out how inconvenient it is to try to use that arm with it. i drilled a hole in both sides of the cuff a small binder ring inside, that way i can change out the straps! the two ive made so far are a crocheted one and a beaded one, of course both green :-) [smiley face emoticon with nose]

Ayo my hearing aid finally crapped out after 7 years (they’re supposed to be replaced every 2-5 years) and I don’t have a pcp which means I can’t get a referral back to my audiologist (it’s with a different hospital than what my insurance pays for and it’s a whole thing) and my style of hearing aid costs $100 less than the maximum amount the government gives to me every single month.

And now that I’m an adult they’re going to want me to choose the most boring and bland colors for my hearing aid because society makes it so shameful to have hearing loss/be HoH/d/Deaf so god forbid anyone SEES you have them/s

I headcanon he has balance issues, chronic pain, and uses a cane and rollator. Jehan helped decorate both of them with fake flowers, stickers, etc. He was in les amis, so he is absolutely cripple punk, idc. Hence the pin on the bottom :3

this is my modern design, i totally didnt just want an excuse to draw a mobility aid, the flowers on the rails are inspired by the decorations on my rollator :3

So you're no longer prickle?

this is exactly the problem for two reasons (I appreciate the question!)

1. almost 2/3 times someone writes my old username, they misspell "PRIKLE" as pickle, prickle, prinkle or something else, so they don't always find my actual site, and when people gave me credit for using my pics as display pictures, it would link wrong half the time

2. Prikle was the nickname I had in highschool when my best friend broke his arm, and our group called him "Cripple", and then they started joking I should be called "Prickle" - then we changed the spellings to Prikle and Kriple for the reversable spelling.

I have not connected to that name since I was 14, and I also used it briefly for Shit Demons, which has also not been my focus for many many years. It also doesn't help that I'm transgender and anything that reminds me of my pre-transition self is kinda hurtful to think too much about, but that's a minor point.

the new name, Jesterpunk is both closer to my actual name (Jesse) and has an emphasis on my passion for entertaining (Jester) and my passion for leftwing politics and supporting the underclass and minorities (punk)
